Community Support Empowers Diesel Engine Learning In Auto Tech Class

The Automotive Technology class at Kankakee Area Career Center, in collaboration with LaBeau Bros. Inc. and A.N. Webber, Inc., celebrated an exciting development today as they received a valuable gift from the local business community. Thanks to the generosity of LaBeau Bros. Inc. and A.N. Webber, the class now boasts a diesel semi engine, providing students with invaluable hands-on experience in working with these complex engines.

This significant addition to the Auto Tech class's resources has opened new opportunities for students to gain practical experience and enhance their skills in diesel engine maintenance and repair. The contribution underscores the pivotal role that local businesses play in supporting education and preparing the next generation of automotive technicians.

The Automotive Technology program at Kankakee Area Career Center has a longstanding reputation for producing skilled and knowledgeable automotive technicians. This latest addition to their resources further solidifies the school's commitment to providing students with a comprehensive and hands-on education.

Todd Perzee, CEO of A.N. Webber, Inc., stated, "Empowering the next generation of mechanics and technicians is not just an investment in our community's future, but in the future of the automotive industry as well. We're proud to support Kankakee Area Career Center's Auto Tech class."

The Auto Tech class at KACC is grateful not only to LaBeau Bros. Inc. and A.N. Webber, Inc. but also to Sam Ortman at Ortman Property Management for facilitating this collaboration. Sam Ortman, a local community advocate, played a key role in connecting the school with these businesses and helping make this generous donation possible.

The school plans to incorporate the diesel semi engine into their curriculum immediately, allowing students to gain hands-on experience and work on real-world automotive challenges. This exciting development demonstrates the power of community support and the commitment of local businesses to the education and growth of the next generation of automotive technicians.
